Mr. Jazz's Tomato Pie

We got so many tomatoes from la fête de la tomate!!

Very exciting

I had one dish in mind that I wanted to make with them.




Before we get cookin', here's something else we bought there.

Sun-dried tomato spread.

It tastes richly concentrated. Perfect for toasts.

So, back to the cooking segment.

This is something Mr. & Mrs. Jazz served us at a soirée.
I got the recipe from him later on.

Ingredients:

Store-bought pie dough
2, 3 sliced tomatoes
Mustard 1, 2 tablespoon, ish.
Olive oil
Salt & pepper

Cooking Steps:

1. Preheat the oven as indicated in the pie package.
2. Roll out the dough on a baking sheet, poke it with a fork,
put in the oven and bake until lightly brown.
3. Take the sheet out, spread enough mustard to cover the dough,
top it with sliced tomatoes.
4. Sprinkle salt and pepper, drizzle olive oil, and put it back in the oven.
5. When tomatoes are browned it's done!! Take it out and enjoy.

I put orange bell pepper and sliced garlic on top, too.

It's simple, but tomatoes tastes wonderful with a flaky pie crest.

The tomatoes on our balcony are starting to redden.
