Sweet & Salty

My personal Martha Stewart gave me delightful gifts
after I got back in Geneva!

One was something salty.

They are home-made savory canelés!!
She made four different versions, each containing unique flavors.
They were delicious and I thought they were perfect for afternoon tea.

Another gift was something sweet.
And my personal Martha Stewart is so sweet for sharing these with us.

If you live in Switzerland,
unless you've been living under a rock,
you must've heard of Luxemburgerli from Zurich's Sprüngli.

They are basically smaller macaroons.
Especially, the champagne flavored ones are famous.

No wonder they're famous.
These little things are to die for
I absolutely LOVED the champagne macaroons.

For my fitness's sake,
it's a good thing they don't sell these in Geneva.

All I can do here is pine and drool looking at this picture
