In the Morning Light

Oddly, I went to bed just after midnight one night.

Naturally, I woke up early.
A little before 7 a.m.

Sometimes I'm up as late as 6 a.m.,
but I rarely get up this early ever since the move,
which is a shame. I really love the morning air.

In the morning light, everything looks new.

Soybean sprouts!

I can almost feel,
the excitement of the new day is fizzing and bursting in the cool air.


A daily rebirth of some sort.

The flowers shrivel up in the afternoon from the sun and dehydration,
but still early, they are absolutely fresh and gorgeous.

Morning Glories remind me of elementary school.
We had to grow them and note the progress as a summer break project.

I might have resented doing it back then,
but now, it's a sheer joy.
