The Consolation Wine

During the French course,
there are some organized trips the students can partake in.

Since I'm already pretty familiar with the area,
the only trip I thought might be fun was an excursion to the local winery.

Unfortunately, though, by the time I tried to sign up for it,
it was already full

Some friends from my class were smart enough to register
way early, they got to go on the trip

The day of the trip.
It rained in the evening and there was this amazing rainbow!!

The description they gave about the trip was rather amusing,
but it was probably a good thing I didn't go.
(I'm just being a sore loser!)
I'd probably got sick from trying too many wines

The only thing I was bummed about was not being able to
hang out with my new friends.

The following day, during a break,
after they recounted the crazy stories from the excursion,
they took this out and presented it to me!

We are diligent learners of French.
So, we speak to each other in the language of love,
and they said something like this,
"Since you couldn't go with us , we brought you a little souvenir."
They are so sweet
