Swiss Holiday à l'américaine

OMG.
I've been so busy.

I was exhausted beyond imagination,
therefore, the 1st of August was a welcomed break.

We wanted to enjoy the holiday sprit without spending too much energy.

Solution?

BBQ!!

OMG. Doesn't this look mouth-watering?!

If you're drooling yet, look at this!!

If this doesn't trigger your mouth to become water falls,
then you must be a vegetarian or a vegan!

Now, I am convinced that the only way to cook steaks is with charcoals.
I love it when it's charred outside but still pink inside.

I made clarified butter, then mixed it with roasted garlics, lemon juice,
salt and pepper, then brushed the butter on the meats.

Garlicky+lemony+buttery+meaty=HEAVEN!!

To make this meal even more festive,
we used these ingredients...

Digestive crackers, marshmallows, chocolate
...to make s'mores!!

It's a staple outdoor summer dessert in North America.

Although it's not Swiss and thus seems unfitting for the occasion,
it sure made it a festive day for us!!

While the grilled marshmallows are still hot,
sandwich it with chocolate and crackers and squeeze!

Et voilà!
A nice final touch for a relaxing yet fun day at home.
