Random Rabbit and Swiss Dogs

A few weeks ago at Plainpalais,
there was a "Journée de conseils aux propriétaires de chien".

Basically, it was a dog day and they offered various demonstrations.

Such as Bernese mountain dogs and Saint Bernards pulling carts.

These dogs are absolutely massive.
Both breeds are Swiss and are mountain dogs.

After seeing these enormous animals,
it's hard to believe Truffle is of the same species.

But these huge dogs are mellow and very gentle.
No wonder Truffle, a shy dog, wants to go up to them
and greet them and sniff them all that stuff when he sees one in town.

Although this was an event reserved for dogs,
there was an odd participant.

We saw this rabbit sitting at a bench!!!



The rabbit was probably as big as Truffle,
and it just sat there...

There was no one around, but the rabbit sat there quietly.
I don't think it was even leashed.

How bizarre.

Anyway, before we left the show, dogs from the shelter came out.

They were looking for new homes.
We can't have any more dogs, but I wish I could take them home.

I hope they all found nice loving homes.
